OKRA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established to improve the business of recycling by providing education and referral services about integrated solid waste management, including reduction, reuse, recycling, and composting.

It is designed to serve as a central communication point for exchange among businesses, industries, government entities, public and private organizations, schools, and citizens about recycling.
